What better way is there to start out the year and get away from the January cold than spending time in a beautiful tropical rainforest photographing beautiful and colorful birds? I couldn’t think of any so I am looking for others who are interested in making stunning images of some really fantastic birds, animals and places.
This trip will be a little different from past trips that I have done in Costa Rica. Since I would like to offer the best possible chance to make great images I have decided to concentrate on only a small area around Arenal Volcano and the Monteverde area. Our main focus will be on birds like colorful tanagers, beautiful hummingbirds and the spectacular Resplendent Quetzal. While searching for birds we always encounter other interesting photographic subjects like orchids, various interesting mammals and insects and much more. We will most definitely spend time photographing anything that might make beautiful images.
By concentrating on only a small area we will be able to have a flexible schedule so we can best take advantage of unique opportunities that might present themselves while we are in the area.
I am still putting together the details of the trip but I expect the cost to be around $2500 including all food, lodging, entrance fees and ground transportation. In addition to the $2500 you would need to cover your own airfare to Liberia airport in northern Costa Rica.
