California is a wonderful place for bird photography and we have the best birding guide in the state to show us all of the most wanted birds.  Any time of the year is good to visit.

We hope to offer wildlife photographers an opportunity to build their skills while photographing some of the birds that are unique to the region such as the California Condor, Wrentit, California Quail, Black Oystercatcher, California Thrasher, Nuttall’s Woodpecker and more. Our mission will be to provide guests with enough time to get good photographs of the birds of special interest instead of building a long species list.

We usually spend time hunting for California endemics in the Santa Barbara  area where nearly all of them can be found without much travel time. 

We have access to several private properties that will allow us some wonderful chances to photograph bird like Yellow-billed Magpie and Le Conte's Thrasher.

Not only does California offer some of the countries best bird photography opportunities, the state is wonderful for all types of nature photography.  We usually take time to photograph beautiful scenery, mammals and plants while looking for birds.  Since the trips are fully customizable we can spend time on anything you like.

The California coast gives us excellent opportunities to photograph a wide variety of gull species as well as rocky shore birds like Black Turnstone, Black Oystercatcher, Surfbird, Wandering Tattler and many more.

If you are looking for a place to photograph a large variety of species in a relatively small area and haven't birded California before, it is a must.

We have had the pleasure of guiding many photographers in the state and can give you an excellent chance to see and photograph pretty much any of the California species you may be interested in so don't be shy to give us your list of desired species.

We typically start and end our trips at the Santa Barbara airport but can arrange to start from anywhere in the state.
