Our Las Vegas trip will cover a lot of territory and offers opportunities to see and photograph birds such as the elusive Flammulated and Northern Pygmy Owl; Bendire’s, Crissal and LeConte’s Thrasher and Lawrence’s Goldfinch.

We will also have opportunities to photograph colorful birds like Western Tanager; Lazuli Bunting; Black-headed Grosbeak; Hermit, Nashville, Yellow-rumped, Lucy’s, Black-throated Gray, MacGillivray’s and Wilson’s Warbler.

Other birds we will search for include White-headed Woodpecker; Red-breasted Sapsucker; Pacific Wren; Cassin’s Vireo; Clark’s Nutcracker; Pygmy, Red-breasted and White-breasted Nuthatch, Mountain Chickadee, Steller’s Jay, Pinyon Jay, Canyon Wren, Wrentit, Nuttall’s Woodpecker, Oak Titmouse, Yellow-billed Magpie and American Dipper to name a few.

This trip will put us in a variety of scenic places from the Mojave Desert with its Joshua Trees to Red Rock Canyon with its beautiful colors to the Kern River Valley with its Giant Sequoias and more. We will also spend an afternoon in Death Valley.

The trip will start in Las Vegas and will end in Santa Barbara in order to make the most of our time. The cost per person on this trip will be $2400 for double occupancy; the single supplement is $400. This fee includes all transportation starting at the Las Vegas airport on the evening of May 19, 2015 and ending at the Santa Barbara airport on the morning of May 28, 2015. Also included is all lodging and all park entrance fees. Guests will be responsible for their own food during the trip.
