This trip will offer photographers a great opportunity to see and photograph the birds that make Florida famous. On our journey we will visit a variety of different habitats ranging from sandy beaches, to beautiful cypress swamps to prairies and pine forests and the Everglades. All along the way we will take in the natural beauty of Florida.

We will start out in Tampa with birds like Wood Storks, Swallow-tailed Kites, Limpkins, Barred Owls, Bald Eagles and more.

From there we will work our way down the Gulf Coast searching for the threatened Florida Scrub Jay, the endangered Red-cockaded Woodpecker and other special birds like Bachman’s Sparrow, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Sandhill Crane, Fish Crow, the White-eyed race of the Eastern Towhee and more.

We will then cut across southern Florida in search of birds like Burrowing Owl, Glossy Ibis, Palm Warbler and the graceful Snail Kite.

We will spend time exploring the keys and the Everglades region where we hope to find birds like Gray Kingbird, Black-whiskered Vireo, Prairie Warbler, Great White Heron and White-crowned Pigeon.

From there our trip will take us north up the Atlantic coast where we will visit habitats that should give us a chance to see Great Black-backed Gull, Least Bittern, American Bittern, Purple Gallinule and more.

We will pay special attention to Osprey and Snail Kites with boat rides to get us nice and close to these majestic birds in a beautiful setting.

We will round out our trip with a visit to the beach where we hope to see birds like Wilson’s Plover, White Ibis, Black Skimmer and more.
