Seven days on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula at the height of the breeding season, from the marshes of Anchorage and the shoreline of Turnagain Arm to the seabird colonies and tidewater glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park. Mid-June brings birds in fresh breeding plumage, seabirds back on their nesting cliffs and more than 18 hours of daylight, so there is time for long sessions in the soft light of early morning and late evening. The heart of the trip is four nights in Seward, with two full-day boat trips into the park and plenty of time for the town's Bald Eagles.
